Students will learn about artist Van Gogh and his expressive art style. Students will use a variety of art materials to create their own version of Starry Night.
Students will learn to draw 3-D shapes and create an imaginary place using the shapes. Students will learn about surrealism artists Salvador Dali and M.C. Escher for inspiration. Students will have the options to add color using colored pencils, sharpie markers or watercolor paint.

Rainforest animals will be the theme for this fun class! Students will choose a rainforest animal to draw in the tree top canopy. Students will have the choice to draw and paint in an Amate theme painting using non-realistic fluorescent colors or draw/ paint in a realistic style.
Student’s will learn about artis Pablo Picasso and create a portrait in his style. Students will also work on cutting and glueing skills to create a heart shaped person out of construction paper. If time allows, we will work on painting skills by painting a heart painting.
Students will draw and paint a still life of roses. We will work on shading and paint blending techniques. Students will also have the opportunity to make something out of clay during this session.
During this class, students will learn how to use shapes to draw an ice cream cone! Students will develop painting skills by painting the flavors for their ice cream.
